Bang - - - what the hell was that?

Nothing much really, just a Duracell AAA exploding in my mouse.

I had shut down my computer & turned off the mouse for the night, later my wife reported hearing an explosion from the vicinity of my computer.

The computer booted up OK but when I turned on the mouse, nothing, opened up the battery compartment to find a milky liquid all over inside.

Ugh. Glad there was no fire or any other damage. With those hoverboards and e-cigarettes all over the news exploding into flames, and planes banning lithium batteries from checked bags, it seems that batteries are quite dangerous these days!

Impressed that you turn off the mouse every night.

Oh boy what a mess! Glad you're ok. I shut my mouse every night, want to make sure it doesn't scurry around looking for tidbits. [emoji12]

Yikes, makes me wonder if it would be wise to remove the battery from the DSLR's overnight.
