Barred Owls

Today I went down to Lake Beverly to see what was about. It started off very slow a bird here, a bird there. Then I saw a shadow fly by. I turned quckly and saw a barred Owl. I captured a few shot then he flew off to his mate. I beat feet over to where he flew and was able t osee the pair.

Fantastic, all of them. I like the third one from the top best. Love that puppy-like pose. And the subdued lighting/exposure level is perfect to capture the color of the feathers and the framing vegetation.

Like them all, but especially #4 (number shots next time 'round). Nice profile, great detail (love the talons) and the green is a beautiful backdrop.
