Nice work Lew--I like this one a lot. I've got a suggestion for an alternative--try some HDR processing with this. I'm not a big fan of HDR--think it's overdone as a gimmick. But I think this shot could lend itself well to that. It's got interesting detail in the foreground, mid-range, and background. Good color. And HDR would add that kind of "are my eyes deceiving me--this doesn't look real" feel to the shot so people would wonder if they were seeing a photo or a really detailed painting/drawing.

I'll try but I'm a slow learner.

The original was a bleached sky and dark foreground.
Luckily the blue channel made for a very clean and intricate channel mask with about 20 minutes of work.
