This is not me or my family. How'd I do?

Your focus is on the striped rock, so the faces are all soft.

Lets restart this conversation before it goes south in a hurry.

Why don't you start by telling us what YOU did to improve your skill in this photo, based on advice you got from your other threads?

Did you use a reflector perhaps? Did you pay closer attention to the 'triangle' rule of posing? Did you pay attention to your settings?

Asking a generic 'how'd I do', is opening yourself up to the firing range, which we've already established is a bad thing for you.

I set my camera to cloudy because it was a cloudy day. My settings were: iso 400, f5.6. I took a few more where I realized I was focusing on the rock and I think I got better focus.

Sometimes you should change the AF mode from Wide to Spot if your subject is right in the center ... or use Spot then lock the focus to recompose.

What was your shutter speed?

And have you read "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson yet? If not, I highly recommend it. It's a great read, and explains the 'exposure triangle' in a way that is easy to interpret.

Ok I don't want you to get discouraged by negative critique but I think you need to slow down and work on nailing focus. Take a kids stuffy/doll what ever and practice getting it all in focus. Most lenses have a sweet spot and I don't think yours is 5.6. Once you have got focus down, then move on to working on your composition. Read some books and practice practice practice. This isnt horri ble compositionally but the focus is soft, and the light is flat. I would bin it.
