Went down to the beach at sunrise and it was VERY low tide! I never knew this beach was filled with these kinds of boulders and soooo many! I also saw some seals resting on top of some of them.
You may have heard about the kayakers about a month ago that got flipped by a great white shark?! Yup, right around this area.
The color was spectacular. I did bracket these and am trying to learn the best times to use it. I think it is only when my camera can't handle the lighting, but I did it anyway.
I did put them into Photomatix to blend them together, but maybe my windows program or PSE would do that better?

I played with colors and sharpening and then did 2 with just minimal coloring for ideas.
And is the composition any good ? (besides my techniques used)
Learning, learning,
Nancy

I think they are a bit too sharpened but than again it does give it a cool look... but I really like the 3rd one.

I find the competition to be quite good.

Thank you Danny. I will go back and look at the sharpening. I am usually afraid to go above 50 or so...;{
I gotta find a class somewhere, geez...

One thing thing could help this type of shot is a little more dof, maybe shoot at f/8 or even f/11. I like #4 :icon_thumleft:
