Here's a link to a NY Times article about software that alters portraits for ideal proportions (or something like that, it's in the article...). When I looked at the before and after photos, of the ones I could see a difference, I think I liked more of the before pics, but maybe that has to do with midwestern American tastes compared to Israeli/German tastes.
