It is a good capture and your placement of the bee in the image is very good. If I had one suggestion, it would be to crop it a good bit so the bee is more of the center of focus. The foliage around it dominates, especially since it is a good bit lighter in value as our eyes are always drawn more to light than they are to dark

Just a suggestion

I like your suggestion so I cropped it that way and reposted it as you can see. I also posted a few more shots. I had to manually focus with a 200mm at close range. Thank goodness for motor drive as I got lucky. I must have gone through over 100 frames and most of them were very blurry.

I really like #2 and STM's crop... How do you manage to focus on the bee? I have tried to capture this type of image before, and all I get is a bunch of very focused plants with a smudge above them!

My auto focus can't begin to work on a bee so I just turn it off and focus manually. When I get close I just hold down the shutter button and let it go for 4-5 frames. The law of averages you know...........lol
