Bee

It really felt like spring here yesterday. I went to the park just to see if anything was blooming, and the place was buzzing ... literally. There are a few rather large flowering trees that are in various stages of bloom. Then there was this tree, by the creek, and I am not sure what kind of flower (if any) it will produce, but the bees loved it. Swarms of them danced from pod to pod. They didn't stay long. Quick dip and off to the next. I had brought along my 105mm, for flowers, but was not expecting to photograph bees. No stings and I was close enough to have a constant hum in my ears.

Yes, I had never seen one (irl) with its pollen sacs filled like that--no wonder they were all over that tree!
