I don't think the PP is to over done - I do think that the darks are to dark making them seem underexposed...

Would make a nice B&W if there wasn't a ton of noise and some kind of level horizon. A wider framing would have been nice as well. The letters are distracting too. If you're going to include letters you should try and make it the whole thing, or crop it out. Don't slice one.

If you have this in a wider crop you could straighten the horizon and make the boat lean more aggressively at the same time.
