Been brainstorming, but nothing coming to mind....

Need to get a few shots of five or six watches. Been brainstorming for ideas, and unable to think of anything creative. Don't want to simply line up the watches on a table and take a photo looking down on them. All watches will need to be in focus.

Any ideas?

Setting up still scenes can be fun. If you are shooting them individually, look for a theme in the watch and then try and match it with props. For example, a more elegant man's watch can be paired with cuff links, maybe a couple of glasses of wine, one glass with lipstick on it. A sports watch might be paired up with a bicycling helmet and gloves. An underwater watched paired with a diver's knife and strategically placed water droplets, ... . Try and let each watch be part of a story. Of course, the photos much be technically perfect supressing reflections off the watch face glass and you'll want to adjust tone curves in post to get good contrast and emphasize highlights / reflections off of shiny surfaces.

Not exactly a hard thing to do.

ever just consider your going to need to think past "bokeh" and go for a nice f/8 to f/22, and get CLOSE..

DOF is a function of aperture and distance, so even at f/16 if you're in close to the minimum focus distance for the lens, you'll be looking at roughly 2" or less that will actually be in focus. You can arrange them perpendicular to camera axis rather than in a line on axis, which will result in less DOF required. Depending on your acceptable focus/sharpness level the only other option would be to use focus stacking A Beginner's Guide to Focus Stacking and combining the shots post.

OK David, you mentioned creative, so here goes.... LoL
Get yourself one of those pizzas that you have to bake yourself.
Put the watches on it like a topping.
Title it, "best pizza topping in the world"!!
You might even want to bake it with the watches on it! LOL
Shoot at f8, slightly wide angle, everything will be in focus!

Thanks for the ideas guys. I am aware of using the correct F stop settings on a small tripod.

Still looking for creative ideas on how to display the several watches in one photo. Never had this problem before when shooting other products.....

For the hell of it, I "Googled" (DuckDuckGo actually) "Several watches in the same picture" and up came several good shots. At least, I liked them. So, you might want to do a bit of research online for ideas.
