Hi guys... It's been awhile since I posted. I've been traveling a lot this month and with the holidays I haven't had time to come to the forum. Bad thing about being away...I spend way too much time on here trying to catch up!

Still reading and trying to teach myself about my camera (and lens). I get frequently discouraged and aggravated but I keep clicking. I think I'm ready for classes. The 'self teaching' mode is not cutting it. :grumpy:

Here are a few of my photos from various locations this month. I hope you enjoy them! ~Jessica

Wow thats some nice work! Don't get discouraged! I really like 1,4, 5 and 7. Number 7 is perfectly focused and well taken. Great job, keep it up!

Beautiful photos! I love the donkeys expression in the first one, priceless. Number two looks slightly out of focus, but the sky and silhouettes are beautiful. My personal favorite is number three. Great clarity and sharpness, I also really like the composition.

Thanks for the comments everyone... and yes my backyard is a zoo. I feed the birds so I have quite a collection of visitors. As nice as it is, I'm ready to leave Indiana and move west. I absolutely love it. I'm hoping to head back to Colorado next month. *Keeping fingers crossed*

ayeelkay, I had so much fun with the burros. The burro above was very timid and followed me quite a bit. The guy below was the meanest and did not want me anywhere near the group. He snorted at me the entire time I was doing sunset photos. I guess he had to fight for rank...might be why one of his ears is nothing but a stump. He was a real ass...

I like the Heron ! Wife and I visted Colorado a few years ago. Beautiful part of the country. I understand why you want to head west. I would like to go a little futher. I have fallen in love with Montana!!

Ohhhhh... Montana is on my list! Sadly there are no paper plants in Montana so my husband has never been either. No paper plants = No wife traveling to meet hubby. These photos look like Colorado but they are actually in the mountains in Arizona. I felt like I was back in Colorado...I loved it!

#7 is awesome, my favorite!

On a side note, I grew up in Indiana, but am now somewhere much warmer!!

Danelady is somewhere warmer... lucky duck! And, thank you for the comments.

EricD, one of my favorite inspirations. *Insert fluttering Grandma heart here* I just want to learn how to do in-flight critter photography. I hope I live long enough to teach myself. Thanks for the comments... I follow your work every chance I get.
