I have a few more photos that I'll upload, but I think this is enough for now. All of these shots are manually focused and I used a macro filter (which prohibited autofocus) on the kit lens.

1:

1/400 sec, F/11.0, ISO 1600

2:

1/640 sec, F/11.0, ISO 1600

3:

1/320 sec, F/11.0, ISO 800

4:

1/250 sec, F/11.0, ISO 800

They are all a little soft.. but not bad for that type of shot! Macro filters really degrade image quality a lot! A better solution is the Raynox 150 / 250... they allow much better image quality when used correctly!
