I left a "weed" growing in the middle of the back lawn. It flowered this past week, and the bees are happy.

Keep the pollinators happy! This time of year, weeds are likely the best they'll get. :)

Thanks! I sat down on the ground in front of the plant, and I could smell the pollen. The bees were quite happy to find a flowering plant at this time of year.
 
After a short cold spell here in the UK it has warmed up a little and one or two Bees are venturing out and gathering from what few flower heads are surviving. Great photos.
