This image doesn't really work for me for a couple of reasons. What bothers me most is the foreground. Being the brightest part of the image, it overpowers the sky and is unfortunately out of focus. This effect might have been reduced by not converting to monochrome - hard to say - but the colors of the milky way may have made the foreground issues less overpowering. I don't think mono was a good decision here.

I like it.....has an interesting perspective. Stars look nice and sharp.
