Begginer photos, C&c

Hi, im new to this site as well as to photography. I just purchased my first dslr (nikon d60) and have been messing around with that and photoshop a little. Here is a couple pictures i have been playing with. Please let me know what you think. C&c much appreciated!

you got a great start going.... keep your eye on shots 4,5 and 8 to include your entire subjects in the frame..

The only thing I would like to add is that wide-angle lenses don't flatter the people shot with them.
