Beginner Needs some Critique on Ponce Inlet Pics

These are my second group of shots with this Kodak Z915. I'm still getting the hang of all of the features on the camera. I was trying to get a handle on shutter speeds and lighting, since today at the inlet it was so bright out.

Just a few.

I was actually playing with new angles. Laying in the sand. Just trying to start working outside the box. These are my best shots. I think.

Bit too bright. Might want to go to a higher shutter speed, smaller aperture, or both. Otherwise, as bdest as my untrained eye can tell, both shots loo reasonably composed. #2 is even fairly interesting - the dog plays off the expansive blue quite nicely.

Thanks. I thought they were still too bright, but I'm working on it. I really liked how the light hit the tip of the digs nose. A bit more natural than my last shot of her.
