Beneath the wings of a dragon...

I shot this dragon one day while out on a walk through the woods. It was hot as Hades, the sun was at it's peak and this little guy really gave me the run around. He eventually got tired of my stalking and took a breather. I wanted to get some CC as to the composition, the framing, etc. The brightness of colour WAS intentional, just to throw that out there. Your critique will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Funny how many different species and colors there are. I like the smile or facial expression on the second one. I have yet to get one from the front like that.

Not bad, but I am curious as to why the wings on each side of his/her body do not seem to be symmetrical - maybe the angle of the shot - don't know. Any ideas, because this was the first thing that struck me about each image - also the fact that I don't think I have ever seen a green one - blue, red, black, orange, but not a green one.
