Hi guys I have a friend who wants me to shoot video for his wedding. Now I am into photography but wanna do him a favor and also want to do a good job and keep my friendship intact :). What would be an easy and good cam to rent and shoot with? Is my T2i up for the job? Too much shaking I think but are there any stabilizers type of equipment out there? Thanks much for your input.

If you want decent video I would rent a Canon XH-A1. I was in the wedding videography business for a couple of years, and that is the last camera I had before selling it about a year and a half ago. HD Video, great lens... the only thing is there is a lot to sound for a wedding. That's the complicated part for someone familiar with still photography. Good luck.

If you could rent a hotshoe mic and a glide cam for your T2i it would be fine, but I would rent a professional camera if I was going to do that. If you plan on doing more wedding video you can use your dslr, but check out mics and glidecams Glidecam Products

PS - your best option for sound is if the person running the sound for the wedding can record all inputs for you. That way you can get direct input from the officiant, couple and other microphones being amplified. Otherwise you're going to need at least a couple of mics and probably a good shotgun mic.

This îs a friend of a friend. And they don't put much emphasis on video in their religion.
