Best camera?

Are there any theme specific cameras or can you pretty much get the best pictures with pretty much any camera? By theme specific i mean taking pictures of things like: landscapes, moving things, night time, persons, insects? Like a camera designed specifically for one of these themes?

Lets take the Nikon d3100 and d3200. The latter is said to perform better in low level lighting. Is that not an example of best of the two? Or can you close that gap between these cameras with attachments without changing anything in the environment?

That is right...no one perfect cam.

My fav cam for street is the Fuji X. But it has the worse AF of most cams out there. So it is hard to shoot great street with it. But I can still get some superb street shots with it by tweaking it my way.

I used to be all about the M43, but the IQ is not that good when you make 13 x 19 prints. So I gave it up for 95% of my work.

My dream cam would be a Fuji FF Leica knockoff for $2500 and a affordable 6mp FF 6x6 digital back for my SWC.

Sure. Pop some fast, top-shelf glass on the D3100, and a slow kit lens on the D3200. Now go shoot some indoor sports with both in a venue with crappy lighting.

Short answer; yes. If those are the cameras in your price range, you can get some very good lenses. Low light usually requires better (larger maximum apertures) landscape usually works well with a wide angle, portraiture likes a short-to-medium-length telephoto (50 to 85 mm) sports photography does quite well with a good zoom lens, and so on.
