Best CFL lighting for a white background

Hi! Longtime lurker, first time poster!

So I decided to go with Westcott TD5s with CFLs so I could use them for stills and for video.

Anybody have any experience using these with a white background?

I'm a little hesitant on what I should be using to light the white background. All the videos I've seen of people using TD5s they are never using white backgrounds. Would two TD5s with large softboxes be enough light to get the white bright enough?

I'll largely be shooting people 3/4 body or more. Background is going to be 10ft wide.

If anything how about using softboxes (not necessarily CFL) in general for a white background?

Well, I don't pretend to know much about off-camera lighting, but as no-one else has chipped in....
