Best lens for me?

I already own the:
35mm f1.8
nikkor 18-105
70-300

I am looking for an everyday lens. A focal range similar to the nikkor 16-85, so when i go on vacation i only have to take one lens.

I am also looking for a wide angle zoom lens. I take lots of landscape and sunset photos which is what i will be using this lens for.

My budget is pretty tight, around 800$

What is wrong with your 18-105? What are you looking for that is diff from this lens? Fixed App?

16-85 mm is not a good landscape/sunset focal range.

As mentioned your 18-105 is a good, one lens for travel solution, though I never travel with fewer than 2 camera bodies and 4 lenses: 3 zooms that together cover 12-200 mm, and a 50 mm prime.

How are you on filters? A good CPL and graduated ND filter will do wonders. As a matter of fact, a CPL is a must for good landscapes.
