I got my first dSLR for christmas, a Canon T2i. this is the first pic I've taken that I really like. I was wondering how to find the bulb mode on this camera too. I looked in the manual but it was unclear. I want to take pictures of cars going by with the streamed lights

Turn the dial on top of the camera body to "M" and then turn the other dial that increases the shutter speed. Turn the shutter speed to maximum. That is the bulb mode.

I wonder if you actually turn the shutter speed to the minimum?

Page 84 of your manual pretty much covers it all. Having the remote controller (page 204) makes things easier since you don't have to hold the shutter release button down for the duration of the exposure. Just click the remote to start, click again to stop.

yeah, it wouldn't let me post a link.
and the photo embed thing isn't working for me. so I guess that is disabled too.
