Who do you guys use for 35mm? I'm looking for a reasonably priced site and when I do a search, I keep getting Amazon.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

B&H in NYC. Have a look at Home - The Film Photography Project
Fact is film ain't cheap to buy or process any longer. It's a residual market now.
Resist lowball pricing. Pay the price for fresh film. No point paying to process crap material.
Costs the same to process/print quality film from legit sellers.

Thanks for that info, I agree, film is really expensive now.

I had problems with film from Amazon. The expiration dates were only a few months. I stick with B&H Photo now as their film stocks are fresher. Of course, they're out of some emulsions now especially from Fuji.

Thanks, that's what I was concerned about was getting film that is sitting some Amazon warehouse for months.

Long storage in Amazon warehouse may not be the only thing that happens. After the first time, and I returned the film, I contacted the seller to check the expiration dates of the film should I order it again. They were similarly short. My guess the seller was buying up stock sold cheap by normal photo retailers due to the short expiry dates and then reselling them at higher prices on Amazon.

If I did not work in a camera store/lab I would buy my film from B&H. I do buy my Arista 76 BW developer from B&H as we do not sell it here.

BTW we just raised our price for developing C-41 and I will raise my cost for BW development soon.

It's the new reality. Love film? Pay up. Shoot 120 b&w now and DSLR scan. I do use old school printers in Toronto still for fun and occasional profit. Need to clear out the 35mm bodies.

Been a long time since using film and actually turned in to process so I looked up prices. WOW! Can't believe they actually charging that much. Should be a terrific boost for the digital industry. Imagine taking out your old Brownie with a roll of film at the old prices! Have some old rolls of 120 film. Need to see if it still works! Wonder what I'll have in it. has process and printing gone up like the film has?

Just weent and looked at the price of 120 film, WOW! I still ve 11 rolls of 120 in the fridge but awfully old. Don't know if it will work or not Newest stuff from 2017!

You would think but that's not the case, at least not the case at the store/lab I work at. Most hard core film shooters still shoot film no matter the cost and most others have gone to digital from film 10+ years ago. Today almost all dig cam sales are for upgrading or to have a better camera than the phone cam.
The biggest group that "gets into" film today are between the ages of 15-30, mainly because it is "fun", "nostalgic" or they found Grandpas old Canon AE-1 in a closet. 90% have the film developed and sent to them via dropbox. Sad part is 75% do not pick up their film and we fill a trash can full every 60 days because of that.
And for sure processing and scanning/prints have gone up with film. Our lab processes about 75-100 rolls of print film (C-41) a day and I develop around 150-200 rolls of BW a month for the lab at my home darkroom. BTW we are the only film lab in St. Louis.
Current dev/scan to dropbox for 35mm color print film is $15.90 for 2000 res j-pegs. A few months ago it was $13.50. BW is going up to $12.00 dev only from $10.00.

from 2017!
That's not too old. If it's color print film I'd over just slightly if it's 400 ISO I'd rate it at 320.

We just did a blog about film......... the 2 car pics are mine.....:)
