Bieber Mill Ruins

This old mill is just North of Columbus on the Olentangy River. I'd visited this spot a number of times from the shore, but I'd never really gotten the vantage point I'd wanted until this fall. On the last really nice day of autumn, a friend and I made our way down to the river a bit upstream of here and waded down to the mill. It really is much nicer from out there.

While I was shooting the mill, there were at least two photographers doing shoots up at the foot of the mill, including what looked like an engagement shoot. I just about walked over to the guy and asked him to hand me his camera -- it's a shame he missed the reflections in the water:

I know -- there's another name for the ruins (it escapes me), but I believe Bieber is the most correct.... unfortunately. ;-)

Thanks, all. I have a feeling a lot of people have driven by this without ever knowing it was there, but it's sort of cool to have it in our backyard. My gears are already turning about a winter shoot. ;-)
