Set the camera on a tripod and told the intervalometer to shoot a pic every 5 minutes. Three hours later, here were my four favorites. I especially liked the one on the top right (fending off intruders). Help identifying this sparrow-sized bird in Northeast Oklahoma (Osage County)?

Very cool.

I'd have never thought to do that.
It helps when your porch is on a balcony so that your gear is fairly secure while you're gone!

Cool stuff. I'd also set the timer to shoot some frames around 8:00 to 10:00 PM, as the birds settle in to watch their evening prime-time TV shows. Maybe need flash then? Not sure, really.

Great Idea, Some great candid shots. I've got a dove's nest in my backyard, but she's placed it to where I can't get a shot without disturbing the nest. Would have loved to try something like this.

Edited to add shot (today) of new baby!
