I know the crop is terrible, but I was going for the eye. Any or all feeback welcome.

the colour and contrast on the beak is great, pity you cant see more of it.

it depends on how you look at things. i like tight crops, because it merely suggests at a full subject, allowing your imagination to create the rest of the image. i think that applies in this case (and at least you didnt barely chip off a side of the beak or something). If you are going for this tight crop, i would almost suggest cropping it even tighter so the picture is obviously super-cropped. some might think you did this accidentally, but if you made it a tad bit tighter, it would look intentional. i hope at least some of this is making sense . terrific lighting and colors!
