black and white test shots

Was messing with various settings on the Nikon D40x I have just taking test shots around the house (mostly my dogs) as I'm not overly familiar with the camera. Here are a few that came out ok-ish for what I was doing.

Read the instruction manual thoroughly, especially the section on metering and exposure and try these again.

Yeah I haven't done anything with it in years, Been using slr cameras. MUCH easier and more fun IMO, I need to get more familiar with it again
