Black-winged Kite

[Rebellious]

Spotted this bird - a black winged kite - for the first time outside home. It was perched on an electric line. Strikingly beautiful bird. When perched, the wing span isn't obvious. Could only get a couple mediocre shots in-flight, but amply shows the wing span. Hope it comes back and gives me better poses, another time.

Well done, very good shooting......

Nice set! Love the eyes on this beautiful bird and those talons really grab (excuse the pun) your attention.

Wow it is a striking bird. Thank you for sharing and I hope you can get more shots.

Thanks everyone. I sure do hope the bird returns another time & allows me better pics. Today was the first time I was seeing it.

The kite returned briefly and allowed me just this one slightly better picture.
