Blue & Gold Banquet

I went on Sunday to the Boy Scout's Blue & Gold banquet with my younger brother. I snapped a couple photos and these two turned out to be the best. Critique would be appreciated!

The exposure is ok as is your conversion to B&W.

I might suggest cropping a bit wider, not much, just enough to include the top of his hat.

I really like that first one. You caught a great expression and the DOF is lovely. Great conversion to b&w as well.
