Blue Jay

I went to Deer Lake Newfoundland this week, and saw a Blue Jay for the first time. Very nice colour, but also a very timid bird. Had to stay still, and used my EF70-200 f/2.8 L USM.

I agree, nice colors. I like how you made the blue pop on the bird, but kept the greens and browns pretty neutral. A lot of times people will over saturate the greens, which makes them hard to look at. I know it might be a pain, but it might be worth it to try and clone out the little branch going through the bird.

Nice shot. I see many of these every day in my yard. They are a noisy bunch.
