Blue Rock

I'm pretty new to the Macro world, so I was just messing around in the back yard today.
Please let me know what you think. =]

It's interesting, but you should find a way to lure a viewer in a lot better. I notice the rock has a pretty texture on the top of it. Maybe focus more on the rock and leave a lot less negative space.
Or just crop a lot more of it off, I feel like there is too much empty space around the top and bottom that doesn't add anything to the photo.

I agree with the above post. There seems to be a lot of negative space.... the rock seems to be right smack in the middle of the photo, I would crop off some of the space on the left. Maybe next time try to shoot closer and more ground level.

Beautiful, but too centered. I think I might crop some of the bottom and right to get a really eye-catching photograph. Good luck with macro!
