Boats

Was sitting near the water on sunday, cause i had to takes some pics of the harbor of Hoorn. But it was still rather busy in there, so i had to wait. While waiting, i shot some pics of the boats which were going out to sea.

#10 And this is the building i was waiting for to photograph. Its called "het houten hoofd", "Wooden head" if you would translate it. Probably the most photographed building in Hoorn.....so its not weird that i took pics

I like #9, mainly because of the angle. Everyone shoots boats from the side. This one is interesting because it's not an angle usually seen.

here is the original #1:

As you can see, it was rather hazy at sea. So i didnt have a lot color in the pic, it was rather flat also. Thats why i choose to go with the sepia. And the noise came from the sharpening and levels i think.

Very cool series! I like the ships but strangely, #7 is my favorite. I think you ended up with quite a powerful picture, I love it. Great stuff :thumbup:

#6, #8, #10.. find a boating magazine and submit them! Write a little story about them and the event..time..place you took them as well.

Personally I like #'s 1,5,6 the best but I think it's the angles you captured. I'm probably being biased.
