Book recommendations

I've read Scott Kelby's books on digital photography, but I was wondering what other books are a good read to help me improve?

I certainly agree with understanding exposure - a good follow on book from Scott Kelby's books.

Beyond that I would say get some idea of what is it you like to shoot and then start getting some books focused on that - studio, wildife, macro, abstract - there are loads out there from indepth technical books to those that give page after page of inspiring shots.
