^^^agreed..very nice as is, but might have been a nicer landscape picture. nice camera too. I have a rollei 3.5E TLR..never use it though.

I don't like to pull back too much with portraits. The face is still the most important feature, the bicycle is just a prop, like the fence.

I can agree with that. however, sometimes a prop adds to the picture as a whole. and unlike the fence, the boy is ON the bike, drawing peoples attention more to the bike than the fence. I like this photo as a portrait, but would also like to have seen it as a landscape to compare.

I like it. I think you got a great portrait and I actually like the cropped bike because of the way the lines frame the boy's body.

Nicely done. I only dream of turning out pieces like this. His pose looks so natural and relaxed, it just over all done so well. While I would like to see the whole bike, I understand the reasoning for cropping the way you did, and if I was being honest, I most likely would have done the same thing.

I prefer this to a whole bike. It's enough that the viewer identifies it, it's cropped at good angles (the chain is parallel to the boot on of the frame, etc), and I think it works very well.. Great job!

Fantastic. The posing is awesome. I love how his legs are angled parallel to the bike frame.
