Brand new to using a dslr - first few pics

Hey, i am new to this site, and even more importantly i am brand new to using a dslr. I am slowly understanding how to use it but any criticism is appreciated. These shots were taken inbetween 1 and 4 pm today and it was a very sunny day. i've been playing around with the arperture and iso, but because of the amount of light i didnt really touch the shutter speed much. and one of the photos i know is really over exposed.

Way too many images for which to provide individual, detailed critique, however, overall, not bad. #s 4&5 are somewhat under-exposed, and most of your horizons need to be leveled. Your monochrome conversions are nicely done.

thanx, and i realize i put a lot of photos up, i figured thats why i numbered them, these are the first photos i've really taken, other then the autoshow, and those were all automatic settings, so i didnt really do anything with my set up
