It's been a while since I have posted, so I figured I would share this macro shot of a brass nozzle from a 3D printer. This is my first time working with focus stacking, and I think it came out okay. My goal was to find a way to monitor wear on the nozzle over time when printing with abrasive filaments. The actual height of this nozzle is just 13mm, which I was able to get close enough to fill the frame.
Nikon Z6II + FTZ adapter + 68mm extension tubes + 50mm f/1.8G lens.
9 stacked exposures on a macro focusing rail
Shot at 50mm, 1/60s, f/16
