New to macro

After so many years I’m getting into extreme macro. Enjoying catching bugs like I did when I was a kid. Haha

so I’m using a Nikon z7 on silent mode so there is no shutter slap. and I’m using a focus rail on a heavy tripod. And have it set on a timer so I’m not touching the camera at all. 50mm at 1.8 and extension tubes

when focus stacking in photoshop I don’t get the crystal crisp details I’m hoping for. Even on the individual images there is sorta a halo around the hairs.

about 35-50 images in my focus stacking

so suggestions??
