Yes its time to see your worst - break the rules - break all the rules - break them bad! We want to see your worst - your shots that just don't work; the ones that leave you shaking your head and thinking its time to hang up the camera (at least for 20seconds).

(ps this is all pgriz's idea and Erose supported it so if it goes bad its their fault - -- er wait shouldn't that be if it goes good?).

Missed focus - handshake blur - poorish exposure - subject way heading into the wrong corner - lots of wasted space - bright shiny highlight all over the birds back!

Oh, man, this is EASY! I've got so many that it is difficult to choose!

Anyway, here is one:

.webp

missed focus
camera movement
blown highlights
symmetrical composition slightly off center
indefinite composition (missed the floor)

Oh you want to talk missed focus? Here's me getting used to a split-screen focus on an OM-2: (view them large to better see the suckage)

Nope

Even worse:

Sort of better on one little figurine but still a big fat NOPE:

In my defense, the split-screen system confused me a little. When the image looked in focus to me, the split screen still wasn't quite even. When it was even, it looked a bit blurry to my eyes. I didn't know which one to trust. I don't know if this is an issue with calibration or with my eyes. I'm still trying to get used to it.

So, I'm trying out a lens adapter, a Fotodiox brand Nikon G- to Canon adapter in late January of 2012, and I have good focus on these geese winging their way overhead, and I want to get them as they fly behind a wintery tree outside my apartment, to create a sort of migrating-geese-as-seen-through-barren-wintertime-tree-branches kind of feeling. So, I focus on the geese, and shoot a frame or two like this:

And THEN, just as the shot actually really comes together, you know, so that I can actually get what I was hoping to achieve, like an idiot I decide to manually refocus a bit...thus blowing the shot I actually wanted to make!

You really are a glass half-full kinda' lady! Maybe I should have processed the second shot? I looked through about thirty folders on this computer just to come up with the above entry, which left me feeling kind of dejected, since I have kill-filed plenty of realllllly bad shots that would have been PERFECT for this thread!

Well, I could do a shot like that too, if I had a chair like that.

And a model like that and a library like that and a pink light like that.
