I agree, I like your second picture better. It's much more interesting lighting on the clouds. The first has a lot of dull sky at the top of the frame (just in my opinion), and seems unbalanced to the left of the image.

If you cropped 1 similar to #2, it would be better.

Do you mean the fact that the buildings "slant" inward (i.e. perspective distortion)?

I think that is what he meant. It's the 10mm focal length which is real wide. Only way I know how to fix this is to center the buildings during the shot and crop after.

The lens correction filter in photoshop is really good. They probably incorporated that into Lightroom 5

Ha! It's funny you guys say this because I'm tooling around w/ LR5 now. Interestingly, the Lens Correction feature thinks the lens was the 14-24mm not the 10-24mm and there doesn't appear to be a lens profile for the 10-24mm.

You could take the bottom 1/3 of the original ......marry it to fit the corrected image and with a little clean up it should look good.

Actually, I had to lose some water because in correcting for the perspective LR5 took the photo in at the bottom so it was like a reverse trapezoid. This is as close as I could get it.....

Heh, I know you're being sarcastic. But keep this in mind: you asked for help, help they are giving. "Picky" has helped me take better photos in just the 3 months I've been on this site.
