Brown Praying Mantis

I usually see them in green so I was intrigued by the brown one. Funny story....after shooting these I realized that my camera was still on ISO800 from my halloween shootings :Angry: Well ISO 800 is crap on th D70s so I did a heavy Noise Reduction to try and save a few. I went out and re-shot and got almost no shots the second time. I think only 1 or 2 of these were from the second go at ISO 200.

Oh, and I'd be interested in hearing which of these are your favs and c&c more than appreciated.

this praying mantis looks quite strange.. im used to seeing them when they are all green, but nice shots anyways great dof

Thanks. I don't remember ever seeing one in brown before either which is what made me excited about taking his picture. I was actually excited that he wasn't green.

I'm guessing these guys change w/ the season like leaves since you can see that one of his legs is still a greenish color.
