I went to a place called Bells Rapids on the outskirts of the city just after the first heavy rains had stirred up the red dirt. Cropped this one from larger image. Thought it was sort of interesting

Reminded me a bit off chocolate flavoured milk. They have a big white water race called the Avon Descent that starts in a small country town and ends up in Perth City. Bells Rapids make up part of the course.

The same thing happened when I was at the Grand Canyon. The normally blue Colarado River was brown due to heavy rain further up
