Heya,

I've had a load of shots that I've been meaning to post for some c&c but have only just got around to editing them. I got myself a new toy - the Laowa 65mm macro. I've only been out with it once and I walked around the garden with it the other day to get the spider. I absolutely love it so far though and it's a nice step up from my 70-300 and a Raynox.

Red soldier beetle - planning some mischief by the look of it!

No idea what this is.......

Some sort of butterfly....

When I looked up the soldier beetle, I also saw they were called the hogweed bonking beetle. It's no surprise, there were loads of them at it!

A couple of hoverflies, I think...

And lastly, from my garden, some sort of spider. I really want to get a nice spider shot and this isn't a bad start. It was only a few mm and hiding in some leaves.

Nice set! look forward to seeing some more 👍

Very nice set. You are off to a good start with your new lens. Your garden is providing you with lots of good bugs to shoot.

Ah, I wish this was all from my garden! It was only the spider that I managed to snap from the garden, but I normally stroll around it for 15mins or so each day looking for something.

I really want to get a bee in a flower and managed this yesterday (sooc). I'm not sure about it, quite like how dreamy it is, but wish it had hung around long enough for me to get a proper pic.

There's also a white crab spider that I've been trying to get a snap of, but have had no such luck yet. It's quite skittish and doesn't like me poking a lens in its face!

Bonking beetles was not something I expected to see today!
Great images!

That is a hoverfly - is this the spider you are trying to photograph

Ah, thank you! I really struggling to identify a lot of these bugs I'm trying to capture. Up until about a month ago when I started macro photography, I just assumed everything with wings and yellowy brown was a bee!

And yup, that's the spider I'm after. Love your shot of yo9urs enjoying some lunch. I got a few of it today, but missed focus on the eyes so will have to try again tomo.
