I was trying to take a photography of smoke and i found something interesting to make a picture of while its burning. Please tell me what you think about it.

The picture, idea and background. What could I do to improve and make it look better.

I may be a little slow on the uptake, but I am afraid I really don't understand what it is you are trying to accomplish. What I see is a white "sheet" of something - on the ground, I presume - with a buckt/pail on it and flame spewing from it. There is no detail in the flame - it is blown out- and my immediate reaction is so??? What are you trying to improve or make better? Were you looking for patterns in the smoke, or colours in the flame??

My 0.02¢.

I would back light the smoke with a flash and blue gel filter, but that's just me. :D

It looks like something I would have done when I was 12 (ah ... burning stuff... Remember how fun that used to be? ). There's not really any context. We have no idea what is burning, or why.

I would turn the camera to the vertical orientation to shoot a narrow tall subject, and use a faster shutter speed to stop the motion of the smoke.

Lighting the smoke from the side while making sure the light doesn't spill onto a background would also better define the smoke.

This is a shot of incense smoke.
