Took a long weekend Birding trip to Florida. I had to opportunity to spend a considerable amount of time with the Burrowing Owls

Thank you. Yes they are really interesting. It was neat to be photographing these guys & monk parakeets were flying over building nests in the light towers
 
Great shots!

I watched these guys on Steve Backshall's deadly 60 yesterday morning! Was so fascinated that there were owls that burrowed, well they don't actually dig the burrows they steal them from other animals that make them and use their skins to line their nest. And they use dung to entice insects so they can eat them.

Good! Aren't they afraid of humans?

They had absolutely no concern with our presence. These birds are extremely well taken care of. The City of Cape Coral has a viable tourism business surrounding these birds.
