Busy Time of Year

Ripe tomatoes wait for no one. It's a lot of work when harvest time hits but it's worth it. Another canner load yesterday.

Wonderful! Those tomatoes do quite well under pressure... love that you included the weight from a real pressure cooker. I grew up with that sound.

Mmmm, yum! A little brown sugar, some minced garlic, yellow bell pepper and spices and you got yourself a killer sauce sauce for some tasty, sloppy-joes.

The pressure canner was just outside the frame to the right still sitting on the stove top -- seven quarts per load.

Nice shot. I understand your pain. We do a fair amount of canning in our household. Lots of work but so rewarding.
