Ok so I have had a couple of different opinions from different people in what Lens I should get and this is the last time I will ask... Promise:) I have a canon rebel xs with a kit lens, I have been reading about aperture, iso, shutter speed ect.. On the Internet and tons of threads on here. So again I don't plan in becoming a pro and I may just be a MWC but I wanna be a good one lol. I mostly wanna get sharper images and be able to blur the background more. So I was thinking sigma 50mm 1.4 but someone mentioned it may be too big for my camera??

Siggy 50 1.4 is a great lens, and sounds well suited to what you want it for. It's not even really that big... The 35 1.4 lens that's on my camera most of the time weighs more than the body does, so I wouldn't worry about it.

What really matter is not what people say about how your camera looks like (or its combination) but the image result that you're expecting (i.e. bokeh). Anyway this lens should be small and can never be too big for your camera.

The Sigma is bigger and heavier than the average 50mm lens.. but not excessive. It is well built, and very sharp. The bokeh is some of the best I have ever seen.. It is wonderful. In low light or bright light, the lens is terrific! You won't regret it! It is worth the money, and the weight is not bad.

Ok well I know what I will be purchasing now!!! Thanks so much:)
