Buying a second camera

Hi, it's been a while. I know. But I am back!

So I am looking for a second camera and have been debating between the Pentax K50 and the Nikon D90. I've owned the d90 before, and I know what it is capable of, but how does the Pentax fare?

Let's not count economics into this. The smart decision is Nikon, because I already own lenses, but I am curious about the little Pentax. Thanks!

The K50 looks like a pretty sweet camera for the price. Comparing it to an aging D90 isn't even close.
