Yeah - you could even just tape a piece of paper to the side of the box opposite the light. The tissue paper alone will bounce some back, but add a few layers so it's not so translucent and it should bounce more.
Sometimes I'll use a piece of posterboard (size depending on the size of the box...) and shape it into a large "L", so it reflects onto the top, and one side.
