I was bored yesterday so we decided to go outside and take a few shots, literally I only took 3 before we were engulfed in hungry misquotes and had to cut it short. I wish I had of moved her hair out of her face more! We will be trying this again very soon when it's not so rainy out so any input and ideas are appreciated! I hope this is okay to post here!

"Flickr ? I barely know her!"

That cracks me up, even after having seen it a hundred times!!!

I bet they like this photo. It's subtle, very subtle. I read your original post that said , "we were engulfed in hungry misquotes and had to cut it short" and I thought to myself, "What the hell are hungry mis-quotes?" I thought that might have meant lookie-lou's or puritanical uptight locals who surrounded you three...and I still kept thinking "hungry mis-quotes"...WTH does that mean???...maybe she meant some kinda' word play on miscreants or something...and I kept thinking "hungry mis-quotes" until I started writing this post....then I went back and selected the text by hand and copied it, and THEN it hit me--hungry mosquitos!!!! [true story]

"Doah!" Some days I swear I am more Homer Simpson than I want to admit...

Hahahahaha!!! Opps, I'm the worst at proof reading and my mac likes to auto correct everything!

Here's one idea: set the white balance to Tungsten, then put a full CTO (orange) colored filter over the flash. That will cause a white or gray sky to look BLUE as all get-out, and a blue-ish sunset sky will look WILD!!! and the orange filter over the flash will cause the colors to appear "correct" on the areas that are lighted by the flash...this method can give you a "blue sunset sky" in the dead of winter, during the daylight hours. If you bought a Nikon SB-800, you probably got an orange filter in the kit with the fluorescent-to-daylight filter and the plastic flash-stand.

Just a thought. But don't mosquito me on that.

Thanks for the critique and suggestions guys!!

I hate being this person but, I purposely edited the wb that way, I can change it!

Here are some good links on using the Tungsten white balance + CTO orange gels over the flash units.

Wow! Unsolved Mysteries just needs to hire you and they will be out of business. No more unsolved mysteries with you :)

I looked and looked at this darn "hungry misquotes" knowing that was not right but couldn't figure it out for the hell of me. Good job Derrel.

Back to the photo. Is this what could be called soft porn? I like it. Except fo the guy's pants. If he had been wearing regular blue jeans like her, we wouldn't have this solid chunk of black which I find very distracting.

The tree in the background is also not needed but not quite as bad somehow.

Overall, it makes me think of a RAW romance novel cover

Or maybe it is the cover for one of Anne Rice's erotic novels...

So I'm curious. Whose idea was it to have her unbutton her shirt and show her inner-sideboob?

You really have be familiar with someone and their personality to determine what they might be willing to do. My guess is that the models specifically requested something risque, and you obliged?

Haha :)

Yeah we didn't plan this at all, I literally said "I'm bored let's do a mini shoot". Next time I will make sure he is wearing jeans, I promise!:)

My idea, she's my best friend :P
Also in my experience the bolded part of your question is incorrect. A lot of models will just come out and tell you what they are willing to do or not :)
