C&C First Baby Shot

First time ever taking baby photos, lighting was bad and couldn't use flash, so there is a touch of noise, thoughts?

The noise doesn't bother me at all, but the focal point does. His hand and mouth are in focus but his eyes aren't.

Otherwise it's a really cute picture.

Oh that's even better - you can spoil them, play with them, get them all riled up, and then give them back to mom and dad.

Yep, taken in the hospital room. Just wanted some pictures, wasn't going for anything fancy really

Hospital lighting stinks, plain and simple. Can you get to a window? If so, often the best option, if available.

Try to avoid up-the-nose shots...not the most flattering angle.

I've been tinkering with my own hospital shots to see how to improve them - the poor lighting plus the baby being either too red or too yellow (jaundice) or both(!) makes for some really funky unnatural tones. I gave up on fixing the coloring on several and converted to B&W to eliminate the problem which saved a few otherwise iffy images.

He's a cutie - congrats, Uncle!
